SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of forward Brec Christenson (’06) for the 2024/2025 season.
Christenson is currently committed to Minnesota State University (Mankato) of the NCAA (Div. 1).
“I chose to play in Sherwood Park next season because the Crusaders are a solid organization that is focused on the development of their players and they are committed to building a competitive team,” said Christenson. I am excited to play at the next level and I look forward to having an opportunity to contribute to a winning team and great organization.
“We are excited to add Brec,” commented Crusaders GM Adam Sergerie. “Over the past couple of seasons, Brec has continued to develop into one of the best U18 players in Alberta. For this, he was rewarded by receiving a commitment from Minnesota State Mankato and we are excited to have him in our jersey for the 2024/2025 season.”
Christenson, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, has spent the past two seasons with the Edmonton Jr. Oilers U18 AAA program. This season, Christenson has averaged a point per game, collecting 13 points (2 goals, 11 assists) through the start of the year.
