Sherwood Park Crusaders Staff
President of Hockey Operations & General Manager
Adam Sergerie has been with the Sherwood Park Crusaders for over three years, serving as both the General Manager since November 2021 and President of Operations since April 2021. He also briefly held the position of Assistant Coach. Before joining the Crusaders, Adam was a Junior High Math Teacher and On-Ice Hockey Instructor with Edmonton Catholic Schools and worked as the Director of Player and Coach Development for KC Hockey Club. He has a Bachelor's degree in Education from Lakehead University, as well as extensive experience as a player and coach in both Canada and Germany.
Head Coach
Brennan Menard became the Head Coach of the Sherwood Park Crusaders in August 2023. Prior to this role, he served as an Assistant Coach with the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club for over two years and worked as Associate Coach for the Lakehead University men’s hockey team. His coaching career also includes positions with the Spruce Grove Saints Junior A Hockey Club and the KC Pats U18AAA team. Menard also played professionally with the Erfurt Black Dragons in Germany and had a standout career with Lakehead University.
Assistant Coach
Jake Aston joined the Sherwood Park Crusaders as an Assistant Coach, bringing valuable experience from his junior hockey career. He played for teams such as the KC Pats U18 AAA, Drayton Valley Thunder, and Spruce Grove Saints in the AJHL. Throughout his playing career, Jake demonstrated strong leadership and work ethic, which he now brings to his coaching role. His development as a player has provided him with insight into mentoring young athletes as they progress in their hockey careers.
Atheltic Therapist
Tracie Kikuchi is the Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager for the Sherwood Park Crusaders, a role she began in August 2024. She brings a wealth of experience from her work with Bev Facey High School Football and the Edmonton Wolves (AJFHL). Tracie has also excelled as a former goaltender, showcasing her skills at Red Deer College and with the Sherwood Park Steele in the AJFHL.
Vice President of Operations and Business Development
Derek Yeomens has been the Vice President of Operations & Business Development for the Sherwood Park Crusaders since March 2024. He brings over seven years of experience from the Edmonton Elks, where he served as Director of Ticket Sales & Service. Derek also has a strong background in business operations and sales, having worked in various roles with recruitment firms and running his own goaltending consulting business, "The Goalie Guy." He also has a distinguished career as a goaltender, playing in the WHL and CIS.
Equipment Manager
Zach Lane serves as one of the Equipment Managers for the Sherwood Park Crusaders, where he plays a crucial role in maintaining and managing the team’s gear and supplies. His extensive experience in purchasing and inventory management, gained from his time at Sin Bin Sports and Allsports & Cycle, Inc., equips him with the skills necessary to ensure the Crusaders are well-prepared both on and off the ice.
Director of Media & Marketing
Spencer Love has been the Director of Media and Marketing for the Sherwood Park Crusaders since April 2016. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the team's marketing and media operations. Additionally, Spencer is the founder and owner of Love Pro Wrestling, an independent professional wrestling promotion based in Edmonton, Alberta, known for its high-quality events and international media coverage.
Social Media and Promotion Executive
Nathan manages the team's social media and promotion operations, capturing, editing, publishing all aspects of the teams activities.
Operations and Sales Executive
Jackson Howden is currently an Operations and Sales Executive with the Sherwood Park Crusaders. He previously played professional handball with Skjern Håndbold in Denmark and represented Canada on the national handball team. Jackson’s international experience and leadership in sports have shaped his career, providing valuable insights into operations, team management, and business development across multiple roles.
Billet Coordinator
Tracy manages the billet program, ensuring that players are matched with supportive host families, fostering a home-away-from-home environment for them.
