COMMITTED: Nicolas Beaudoin Joins Sherwood Park Crusaders for 2024/2025 Season

SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of forward Nicolas Beaudoin (’04) for the 2024/2025 campaign. Beaudoin, 19, is currently committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks (NCAA, Div. 1).

“Nicolas was a player we had targeted for some time, recognizing his importance to our team in Sherwood Park,” commented Crusaders general manager Adam Sergerie on the acquisition. “As the captain of his team last year and a player who has scored 40 goals in a season, his character received glowing reviews from everyone we contacted. Nic, already committed to Alaska Fairbanks, plays the game the right way and is driven to improve every day. Adding someone with his work ethic and leadership was an obvious choice for us. We expect Nic to play a significant role on our team next year, both on and off the ice.

“We are delighted to welcome a player of his caliber who exemplifies all the qualities of a leader.”

Beaudoin has played the past two-and-a-half seasons with the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the AJHL. Last season not only saw Beaudoin collect 56 points (23 goals, 33 assists) in just 54 games, but also saw the St. Paul, Alberta native captain the team. The 2023/2024 campaign also saw Beaudoin earn league-wide recognition, as he was selected as the AJHL’s Most Dedicated Player. In his 126 games with the team, Beaudoin potted a total of 132 points. (64 goals, 68 assists).

The Crusaders would like to welcome Nicolas and the entire Beaudoin family to the organization.
