TRADE | CRUSADERS ACQUIRE RAESLER

SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the acquisition of forward Adam Raesler (’03).

Headed the other way in the exchange are forward Holden Cardinal (’03) and future considerations.

“We’re excited to add a player like Adam,” commented Crusaders GM Adam Sergerie. “He’s been a good player in our league for a few years now. He brings an element of grit and skill that will be important for us down the stretch. Adam is much more skilled than he gets credit for and will fit in well with our style of play.”

“We’d like to thank Holden for his time with us and wish him all the best in Drumheller.”

Raesler is currently in his fifth season in Junior A. Through his time in the AJHL, the Edmonton native has amassed 102 points (43 goals, 59 assists) in 136 games. This season, the 6’0 forward is on pace for a career year, already collecting 41 points (20 goals, 21 assists) through 38 games. Prior to his time in the Junio A hockey, Raesler played his minor hockey as part of Edmonton’s South Side Athletic Club program.

In November, Raesler committed to Lindenwood University (NCAA, Div. 1), marking the 17th Crusaders player on the 2023/2024 roster that has earned a post-secondary scholarship.

The Crusaders would like to welcome Adam and the entire Raesler family to the organization.
