Forwards Jeremy Loranger, Kale Dach, and defenceman Connor Gengle have been selected to the BCHL First All-Star Team for 2025.
“Having three players named to the BCHL First All-Star Team is a tremendous honour for our organization. It speaks volumes about the consistency, commitment, and competitiveness our players bring every night. Credit goes to our coaching staff for their tireless work and to the players themselves for their relentless pursuit of excellence. This recognition is well-deserved, and we know their teammates and the entire organization are proud of them.”
Loranger joined the Crusaders following two seasons with his hometown Trois-Rivières Estacades. In his rookie season, the forward amassed 105 points (40 goals, 65 assists) through just 54 games. That total wasn’t just tops among rookies, but the entirety of the BCHL. Loranger was one of two Crusaders selected to participate in the BCHL 2025 All-Star Game and was one of eight Crusaders selected to the BCHL’s Top Prospects Game. Additionally, Loranger was named to NHL Central Scouting’s Players to Watch List. Loranger is committed to Omaha-Nebraska University (NCAA, Div.1).
With 87 points (22 goals, 65 assists) in 54 games, the Penn State commit tied for the BCHL lead in assists, finishing second in overall league scoring. In November, the ’07-born forward was named to the NHL Central Scouting “Players to Watch” listing, along with fellow Crusaders, Jeremy Loranger and Poul Andersen. Shortly after, Dach was one of seven Crusaders selected to the BCHL Top Prospects Game. Topping it off, in January, Dach was named captain of the Crusaders.
Currently, Dach sits second in BCHL Playoff scoring, collecting a total of 9 points (1 goal, 8 assists) through the Crusaders’ first-round sweep of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
Gengle, in his second season with the Crusaders, has established himself as one of the BCHL’s top defenders. The Lindenwood University commit was a point-per-game defenceman, collecting 54 points (14 goals, 40 assists) through 54 games. The ’05-born blueliner was also one of eight Crusaders named to the BCHL Top Prospects Game. Last week, Gengle was nominated for the BCHL’s Defenceman of the Year award.
Congratulations to Jeremy, Kale, and Connor on their selections.
