SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce the signing of goaltender Jason Schaubel (’08) for the 2024/2025 season.
“I’m super excited to be joining Sherwood Park and the BCHL,” stated Schaubel on his signing. “It’s a great opportunity for me to play at the highest level without closing any doors. I can’t wait to get started.”
“We are thrilled to have a goalie of Jason’s calibre join our organization at such a young age,” commented Crusaders general manager Adam Sergerie. “His natural ability fits the foundation of what we look for in goalies and we’re excited to help Jason along in his path to earning an NCAA Scholarship.
We would also like to thank Jason’s advisor group Quartexx Management and his parents for trusting us with his development moving forward.”
Schaubel played the 2023/2024 season with the Barrie Colts U16 AAA of the OMHA. There, Schaubel allowed only 21 goals in 22 games, securing a 0.86 GAA and seven shutouts.
The Crusaders would like to welcome Jason and the entire Schaubel family to the organization.
