SHERWOOD PARK, AB: The BCHL Top Prospects Game will feature a heavy dose of Sherwood Park this year.
Seven Crusaders have been named to the league’s Top Prospects Game, as announced by the BCHL earlier today. The game, scheduled for January 17th, 2025, is for the top NHL draft-eligible players in the BCHL, as well as 16 and 17-year-old draft prospects. Selections were made through a poll of the 21 team coaches and general managers.
Forwards Christian Chouha (’06), Poul Andersen (’07), Kale Dach (’07), Jeremy Loranger (’07), and Malachi McKinnon (’07), as well as defencemen John Alex Banks (’07) and Jude Bray (’08), will be heading to Salmon Arm as part of the BCHL’s All-Star Weekend, scheduled for January 17th – 19th, 2025.

Loranger, currently the league’s leading scorer, was previously announced for the BCHL All-Star Game. The Omaha-Nebraska University (NCAA, Div. 1) commit has picked up a total of 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists) in 26 games.
Dach, third in BCHL scoring, was also a part of the league’s All-Star Fan Vote. The 2nd-year Crusader has picked up 36 points (9 goals, 27 assists) through the 2024/2025 season. His 27 assists also lead the BCHL.
Chouha, the sole 2006-born player of the seven, is currently committed to Princeton University (NCAA, Div. 1). The native of Freehold, NJ, has collected 16 points (8 goals, 8 assists) in his first season with the Cru.
Andersen, committed to Maine University (NCAA, Div. 1) is also in his first season with the Crusaders. The St Louis Park, MN native is a point-per-game player through his rookie year with the Cru, collecting 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists) through 24 games.
McKinnon marks the final Crusaders forward selected to the Top Prospects game. Also committed to Maine University, the Forest Lake, MN product has picked up 17 points (8 goals, 9 assists) in 17 games.
John Alex Banks is the first of two defencemen headed to Salmon Arm. The first-year Crusader and UMass commit has collected 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists) through his 26 games with the Crusaders.
Jude Bray (Penn State University) marks the final Crusaders selection to the Top Prospects game. The Niagra on the Lake native has picked up 12 points, all assists, through 25 games this season.
