Crusaders and Menard Part Ways

The Sherwood Park Crusaders have parted ways with Head Coach and General Manager Brennan Menard following his third season with the organization.

Menard was named Head Coach of the Crusaders on August 2, 2023, and compiled a record of 111-55-9 during his tenure. On April 21, 2025, he was promoted to Head Coach and General Manager.

Prior to joining the Crusaders, Menard served as an assistant coach with the OHL’s Kitchener Rangers, where he was part of a staff that posted a 63-60-11-2 record. He also spent two seasons as associate coach of the Lakehead University Thunderwolves men’s hockey team and one season as an assistant coach with the Spruce Grove Saints.

The Crusaders organization issued the following statement:
“We are grateful to Brennan Menard for everything he brought to the Crusaders organization in Sherwood Park and wish him nothing but success in the next chapter of his career.”
