The BCHL has announced that both forwards Jeremy Loranger and Poul Andersen have been selected to the league’s 2025 All-Rookie Team.
The announcement comes a little under a week after both Andersen and Loranger were nominated for the Bruce Allison Memorial Trophy, awarded annually to the BCHL’s Rookie of the Year.
“We’re incredibly proud as an organization to have two players named to the BCHL All-Rookie Team,” stated Crusaders general manager Adam Sergerie. “This recognition reflects the strength of our recruiting this past season, the outstanding work of our coaching staff in developing young talent, and most importantly, the exceptional performances of Jeremy and Poul. They were difference-makers from start to finish, and we couldn’t be happier for them.”
Loranger joined the Crusaders following two seasons with his hometown Trois-Rivières Estacades. In his rookie season, the forward amassed 105 points (40 goals, 65 assists) through just 54 games. That total wasn’t just tops among rookies, but the entirety of the BCHL. Loranger was one of two Crusaders selected to participate in the BCHL 2025 All-Star Game and was one of eight Crusaders selected to the BCHL’s Top Prospects Game. Additionally, Loranger was named to NHL Central Scouting’s Players to Watch List. Loranger is committed to Omaha-Nebraska University (NCAA, Div.1).
Andersen finished second in rookie scoring, picking up 59 points (29 goals, 30 assists) in 51 games. The St. Louis Park, Minnesota native was also selected to the BCHL’s Top Prospects Game and earned his place on NHL Central Scouting’s Players to Watch List. At the time of writing, Andersen has collected five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in four playoff games. Currently, Andersen is committed to Maine University (NCAA, Div.1).
Congratulations to both Poul and Jeremy on their well-deserved selections.
